Create a booking for a customer

    Got a customer who called, texted, or walked up? You can book a unit for them yourself instead of waiting for them to go through your listing. From the Bookings page, click Create Booking.

    Filling out the booking

    1. Pick the trailer. Units on maintenance can't be selected.
    2. Set the dates and times. The total auto-calculates from the unit's rates (including any multi-day discount), and you can override the amount. Add a security deposit if you take one.
    3. Add the customer. Search your existing renters and past contacts to autofill, or type a new name, email, and phone. An email is required to send a payment link.
    4. Add internal notes if you need them (pickup spot, special instructions).

    Choose how they pay

    • Generate Payment Link — creates a Stripe checkout link you can copy, preview, or share with the customer. They pay online with a card. (Requires a customer email.)
    • Record Manual / Cash Booking — confirms the booking immediately with no online payment. Use this for cash, check, or any payment you collect outside Patriot Hauls.

    Good to know: Card payments run through your own connected Stripe account. A manual/cash booking just records that the booking is paid — Patriot Hauls doesn't move any money for it.

    Get the agreement signed

    After the booking is created, you'll see a rental agreement link on the success screen. No account is needed for the customer to sign — you can:

    • Sign on this device — hand the customer your phone or tablet.
    • Text to customer — send the link by SMS (requires a connected messaging integration and a phone number on file).
    • Copy the link and send it however you like.

    Click Create Another Booking to start a fresh one.
