Booking emails and notifications

    Patriot Hauls sends a set of automatic emails as each booking moves along — to your renter and to you. These are transactional notifications (the kind every booking needs), separate from the workflow messages you can customize and time. They send on their own; there's nothing to switch on.

    What renters and operators receive

    These emails fire automatically off booking activity. Depending on the event, the email reaches the renter, you, or both:

    • New booking — you're notified when a renter requests or books a unit. If you ask booking questions, the renter's first answer is surfaced right in the alert so you have the haul context up front.
    • Booking confirmed — the renter gets their confirmation with the booking details once the booking is confirmed.
    • Payment received — confirmation that a payment went through.
    • Contract signed — sent when the renter e-signs the rental agreement.
    • Booking completed — sent when the rental wraps up.
    • Booking cancelled — sent if a booking is cancelled.
    • Pickup location changed and unit changed — sent when you relocate a booking or swap the assigned unit.

    Good to know: The confirmation email goes to the renter only. You don't get a duplicate confirmation for your own booking — you already got the new-booking alert.

    Where these emails come from

    All of these are sent for you by Patriot Hauls from a verified updates.patriothauls.com sending address — you don't connect an email account or write any of them. They also show up alongside your in-app notifications, and key updates (new booking, payment received, cancellation) are mirrored into the renter's conversation thread so your history stays in one place.

    Heads up: These transactional emails are not the same as your timed workflow messages (reminders, access codes, inspection links). Those you can edit, time, and turn on or off per message.
