Turn messages on/off and send now

    You're in control of which automated workflow messages go out, and you can fire any of them off manually whenever you need to.

    Turn an automatic message on or off

    In Settings → Workflow → Message Content, pick a message and use the Send … automatically switch at the top of it.

    • On — the message sends automatically at its scheduled time.
    • Off — it won't send automatically. You can still send it by hand from any booking.

    This lets you skip messages you don't use — for example, the inspection forms if you handle pickups in person.

    Good to know: The Confirmation message can't be turned off — every renter needs their booking details. Every other workflow message has an on/off switch.

    Send a message now

    Open any booking and find Send a message to this renter. Tap Send next to any message — Confirmation, 24-Hour, 1-Hour, Access Codes, Pre-Trip Inspection, Return Inspection, or Review Request — and it goes out immediately.

    Sending now:

    • Works even if the scheduled time has already passed.
    • Works even if that message's automatic toggle is off.
    • Uses your custom wording from Workflow Settings.
    • Goes to the renter's Patriot Hauls inbox and email (plus SMS if you've enabled it for that event).

    This is handy when a renter says they never got their access codes, when you confirm a booking late, or when you want to nudge for a review.
