Patriot Hauls has three operator roles — owner, manager, and staff — so you can give your crew exactly the access they need and nothing more. The role someone has decides what they can see and do across the dashboard.
The three roles at a glance
- Owner — full access to everything, including billing, team management, and account deletion.
- Manager — everything operational (fleet, pricing, contracts, marketing, settings, analytics) but no billing, team management, or account deletion.
- Staff — day-to-day work only: bookings, messages, leads, calendar, renters, access codes, and reviews.

Think of it as a ladder: staff handle the day-to-day, managers configure the business, and owners control money and the account itself.
Changing someone's role
An owner can change any member's role from Settings → Team — pick a new role from the dropdown next to that person. See inviting your team for how invites work.
Heads up: Every account needs at least one owner. You can't demote or remove the last owner — promote someone else to owner first.
How many people you can add
Seat limits depend on your plan: Recruit/Free is owner-only, Operator allows 2, Elite allows 7, and Fleet Commander is unlimited. See plans overview for the full breakdown.
