Your booking confirmations, pickup reminders, and lockbox codes arrive by text, email, push, and in-app notification. If you turned one of these off — or said "Don't Allow" when your phone asked — here's how to get each one back.
Text (SMS) alerts
If you switched off SMS alerts inside the app, texts stop until you switch them back on:
- Open the app and go to Profile → Settings → Notifications.
- Turn SMS Alerts on. That's it — booking updates and pickup reminders resume immediately.
Push notifications on your phone
If you tapped Don't Allow when the app first asked to send notifications, the app can't ask again — your phone requires you to re-enable it in its own Settings:
- iPhone: Settings → Notifications → Patriot Hauls → turn on Allow Notifications.
- Android: Settings → Apps → Patriot Hauls → Notifications → turn them on.
Good to know: In-app notifications (the bell icon) always work, even with push turned off. If you're missing alerts, check the bell — everything is there.
Booking on the website instead of the app?
Mobile browsers can't send you push notifications the way the app does. You'll still get texts and emails, but for real-time alerts on your lock screen, download the Patriot Hauls app from the App Store or Google Play.
Emails going missing
Booking emails come from Patriot Hauls on behalf of your operator. If one doesn't show up:
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Mark the message Not spam so the rest of your rental emails land in your inbox.
Still not getting anything? Message your operator from the booking page — they can always resend your details.
