Every booking gets its own code. It belongs to that renter and nobody else.
The code starts working before pickup and stops working after the rental window closes. You do not have to remember to change it.
No meeting at the yard at 6am. No key under the mat. No shared code sitting on the trailer between renters.
The code does not go out until the rental agreement is signed and the renter's documents pass.

You buy igloohome locks and pair them in the igloohome app, the same as any owner would. The locks are yours.
In your Patriot Hauls dashboard, open Settings and connect igloohome. You paste an API key pair from your own igloohome account, not your password. Patriot Hauls never sees your igloohome password, and the key is stored encrypted and never shown back to the browser.
Point a lock at a unit and at a slot on that unit: the tongue or coupler lock, the toolbox, or the yard gate. Any slot you leave alone keeps working the way it does today.
The renter books, pays, uploads their license and insurance, and signs the rental agreement. Normal Patriot Hauls checkout. Nothing extra for them to install.
The code is generated for that booking and goes out with the pickup details, on your own timing settings. It arrives with the address, the gate code, and the pre-rental inspection link.
When the rental window closes, the code stops working. The next renter gets a different one.
igloohome uses algoPIN codes. The code is calculated, not sent to the lock over the air. The lock does the math on its own and decides whether the code is good. That means a gravel lot with one bar of signal works exactly like a lot downtown.
One thing worth knowing: the lock checks a code against its own internal clock, and that clock is corrected when someone stands next to it with the igloohome app open. Walk past a lock that has been sitting unused for months with the app open before you rent that unit again. Patriot Hauls flags stale locks for you in the dashboard.
A code is the keys to your trailer. Patriot Hauls holds it until the paperwork is done.
No signature, no code. The job holds and retries on its own until the renter signs.
License and insurance have to clear your rules first. If they do not, you get told, the renter gets nudged, and the code waits.
You can require the renter to finish the walk-around photos before the code releases. That one is a switch you flip. It is off unless you turn it on.
If a code is being held, you get a notification saying why, and you can still send it yourself from the booking when you have checked the renter out in person.
