Specs, photos, and stock numbers

Good specs and photos are what turn a listing into a booking. They tell a renter the trailer fits their job and their tow vehicle — and they cut down on no-shows and wrong-fit disputes. You set all of this in the asset editor (open My Listing → Fleet Assets, then add or edit an asset).

    Specs

The spec fields change based on the asset type you picked. For trailers, you can set:

    • Year, make/brand, and model — e.g. 2024, Big Tex, 70PI.
    • Dimensions — length (ft), width (in), and height (ft). Length is what most renters filter on; width and height are optional but useful for tall or wide loads.
    • Weights — GVWR and payload capacity.
    • Hitch connection — Bumper Pull, Gooseneck, Fifth Wheel, or Pintle.
    • Ball size — shown when the hitch is Bumper Pull (1-7/8", 2", or 2-5/16"). This is one of the most common reasons a renter shows up with the wrong hitch, so set it.
    • Electrical plug — the connector type (4-Pin Flat, 7-Pin Round, and so on) so renters know their vehicle's wiring matches.
    • Axle configuration — single, tandem, triple, or quad.

Equipment and dumpsters ask for their own relevant specs instead (horsepower, fuel type, hours, dumpster size, weight limits, accepted materials, and more).

Tip: You can also list features (straps, spare tire, ramps, LED lights, and so on). These show up as quick checkmarks renters scan before booking.

    Stock numbers and VINs

If you own more than one of the same trailer, add each as a physical unit under the asset. Each unit has its own:

    • VIN number
    • Stock # / Unit ID — your internal label for that exact trailer
    • Status — Available, Maintenance, or Rented
    • Pickup Yard — where that unit lives (see pickup locations and yards)

This lets several identical trailers share one public listing while each one books and tracks separately.

    Photos

In the asset editor's Photos tab, click to upload (or drag in) your pictures.

    • Images only, up to 5 MB each.
    • The first photo is your cover — it's what shows in search and on the listing card. Drag photos to reorder them, or set a different one as primary with the star.
    • Add several angles: hitch, deck, ramps, tires, and the data plate. More good photos means fewer "is this the right one?" questions.

Good to know: Accurate specs and clear photos also feed your storefront AI chat widget, so it can answer renter questions correctly.
